Actual dimensions and fit
Plusco's standard 16x25x2 filter measures 15.5 x 24.5 x 1.75 inches. Width and height are half an inch under nominal; depth is a quarter inch under. Custom orders are cut to the exact size you enter.
The 16x25 face size is offered in 1-inch, 2-inch and 4-inch depths on this site. This page covers the 2-inch version, whose actual depth is 1.75 inches; the 1-inch version has an actual depth of 0.75 inches. The face dimensions are the same across depths, so the slot depth decides which page applies.
Measuring before you order
A nominal 2-inch filter from another manufacturer may have different actual dimensions. Measure your old filter and check the cabinet's requirements. A deeper filter must not be bent, crushed or forced into a shallow slot. For change frequency and compatibility, follow your HVAC equipment manual or ask your technician.
Choosing the rating
Depth and MERV rating are different choices. Match the depth to the cabinet and the rating to your system's requirements. Read the MERV guide and consult your HVAC technician before changing ratings if compatibility is unclear.
